Meeting was called to order by President Mike Temple.
Members stood for Pledge.
Mike asked members present to introduce themselves and tell why they joined Palmyra
Chamber. Most feedback was individuals joined Chamber for networking, community
improvement and education. Discussion about what other Chambers are doing ensued. Larger Chambers have software, employees and educational events.
Following introductions discussion ensued regarding Christmas lights. Alissa reached out to
football coach. Football team will not take down lights. Mike will check with Palmyra High
School to see if student volunteers can take down lights. Some members would like to see lights become responsibility of Public Works. Ashley will reach out to Village regarding future of the lights.
OLD BUSINESS:
Kim shared the budget figures. Car Show was discussed. Alissa said Lions may take over Car Show and move it to month of July. Might combine Car Show with Sesquicentennial celebration.
Other events in planning stages were also discussed.
NEW BUSINESS:
Scheduled speaker Annie Freyschlag started her presentation and went around the room with question for member. Mike pointed out 10 minutes later that it was 7:00 and asked if we should adjourn. Annie said she could stay to speak to people after. She did not have opportunity to finish presentation or activity for members that was planned. She will share slides by email if anyone is interested in the presentation material.
